Current Events Quarter Project
Every Thursday for each quarter, you will be working on research for a Current Events Project.
What is a Current Event?
-It is in the news, it is making headlines, it is important and relevant to our lives with locally or globally.
What event do I pick?
- We will be looking at an example in class. But links to resources are on the LINKS page and below on this page. You will selecting one news article and then creating a research question.
How do I present the project and the content?
Here are the ways that you can select to present:
What do I need to include in my project? 5 sildes/sections/pages/parts
Example: GCMS Library Homepage + Some other site (EBSCO) = Your article (Title)
You will create a research question that you would need answered after reading your article. Example: “Why would the government send tanks into the streets?”, “What is the recent history of interactions between the government and the people?”
Your background information search will also be listed here. This may be additional research you needed to complete the project.
You will also include a photo with a caption describing why this photo is relevant to the story.
- How do you feel about this event, what do you think will happen in the future and what predictions do you have?
-Come up with one question for the class.
